Competition means more choices for consumers. From renewable energy options to innovative plans, consumers deserve to shop for options to meet their needs.
INVESTMENT
Competitive suppliers invest in technology and wholesale generation in ways big utilities do not – helping support affordability. In-state generation also provides sustainability for South Carolinians. Innovation supports affordability when the market demands it. Smart thermostats and time-of-use plans – reduce our energy consumption and bills.
We should protect and increase choices for consumers, not take them away. We should give big utilities more competition, not a monopoly.
